He’s cleared to be on the sideline to do the job he does. He was right in front of the play. He saw his own player pop up to come back at Greenlaw. He inserted himself in the middle to try to deter any further bullshit. Greenlaw pointed at him and incidentally touched him.

Had the man been wearing 31 other hats in his job as security this wouldn’t even be such a thing.

There are just way too many dumb motherfuckers on all sides. He wasn’t out of his duties at that moment. And that wasn’t a fucking punch.

The PF was an absolute. But ejection of either the player or the security guy was not needed. That was just dumb…so of course it just fed all the dummies on all sides.

I hate the kickoff and have for a very long time. It’s a stupid and pointless play. It was grossly dangerous so they whipped up the rules that has turned it safer, but even more pointless.

I will always think the best idea is no more kickoffs. Team gets ball at the 25. Every time. That’s not grossly off what we have now.

Obviously punting should stay the same as that fluid field positioning. But kickoffs can and should fuck off. It really wouldn’t change any dynamics and would just take an annoying and pointless part of the game away.

Simple. Don’t fix it, kill it.

That was a super big deal regular season game. It was utterly hyped up.

Depending how you do it 2nd and 5 can be as good as 1st and 5. Just depends where on the field (though the Eagles have been daring once or twice deep enough in their territory).

It’s an age old want from coaches. A play that is about a guarantee of 2-3 yards each time. I don’t think this one is a guarantee forever, but it has been so far.

It’s admittedly boring as fuck, but also effective as fuck.

Exactly. I don’t know if many Eagles fans will say it, but I will. That guy might have been being an absolute asshole.

Best overall would be to ignore, but I have no issue going and jawing. If that was indeed contact that’s the line as far as the league goes.

Just saying it wasn’t clear that he made contact with the fan. If there is another angle that the league can see that shows it he needs to be sat down a bit. That’s a no doubter.

But all I see is the fan jump back a little. Could be contact. Could just be a flinch from Phillips and the fan stepping back. Can’t say for sure.

There was a time (not long ago) when an NFL broadcast would say something (twice even) and it’s not in doubt. It’s fact.

That’s…not the case anymore.

NFL broadcasts have become as sloppy and stupid as the rest of media….all to generate drama in a sport that DOESNT NEED DRAMA CREATED.

All of that fucking fluffing of a team….no wonder Eagles hate is higher than ever.
