The first thing i noticed is the awful amount of TAA/Upscaling artefacting. Apart from that it looks good i guess. I mean its GTA. It will probably be an enjoyable game. But still: Fuck Rockstar. Fuck Take2.

Apart from that i was pissed at Valve for the cliffhanger at end of EP2 with no follow up. But that was 15 years ago. Seriously its been over 10 years since i decided that i just stop care about this franchise. Still played Black Mesa when it finally hit 1.0. That was nice a throwback. But HL3? tbh i dont care what theoretically is written in law. what i care about are the fuckers who light up the 200m infront of them with their led lights and with that burn up my corneas. everyday multiple times. dont get me wrong, led lights are awesome. i use them myself. but there are too much assholes who only think about them self. even if with 30km/h you certainly dont need the visibility of cars full bright.

true, if you’re in the driver seat these lights are awesome. I worked as a driver for a few years. Mostly in old shitboxes but sometimes i had the chance drive these modern marvels of technology. no doubt its way better for your eyes and concentration if you are in the driver seat. but for anybody else its just soooo bad. even if you steer a vehicle with fancy LEDs the other car with LEDs will blind you. but as a pedestrian, on a bicycle or in a shitbox they just straight up fuck up your cornea.

i’m still amazed how these fucking lights got through regulation in germany. ‘everything’ is regulated here. but these blinding pieces of shit got through. i know the answer: money. as in cars, the crown jewel of the german economy. i hate them sooooooo much.

Atleast from my perspective there isnt any hope left for the ‘big picture’. Everything is just utterly fucked. Nothing left to do but to live your best life. For me it still involves living by my ideals. Just for my sanity and because it feels right. But tbh were just fucked and i try not to think about the implication of the future anymore.

I always enjoyed browsing ‘new’. Both here and on that other site you might know of. Personally i dont like the bots here. They just clutter the timeline IMHO. I visit ‘social media’ for a feed which is pre-curated by humans. I’d rather use RSS if i wanted a constant stream of news articles without curation by others. The problem i see on lemmy is that in rare cases the bot posts still get user engagement which i miss out on if i just outright filter the bots out.

Its nothing i lose sleep over and the situation as is… is alright i guess. But if i had anything to say and had a choice i would outright ban them. But tbh i didnt think through the consquences.

I’d say its mostly sample size. Lemmy is still small. The ever so slightly off feeling interactions have a higher chance of getting noticed because they dont get buried under hundreds or even thousands of other posts most of the time. So its pretty easy to come across discussion threads which werent upvoted by the hivemind for beeing ‘normal’.
