Linux@lemmy.ml•Suggest linux `File Manager` w/ Features and Extensions. Also which are fast in implementing suggestions.
1·29 days agoI mainly use Yazi, Dolphin and sometimes Double Commander inside my GameImages.
I like the workflow of Yazi its so fast and the plugins provide most features that I require. It is terminal based which I really started to like.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Linux gamers: Do you ever occasionally shut down your PC?English
7·2 months agoI unplug the PC when I’m done. There are regular thunderstorms during this season.
So power surges happen from time to time. To prevent my PC from frying I completely cut the power source after I’m done and away from home. And since I’m using an old ass dell monitor (really should start looking for an modern one) I don’t have to keep the monitor connected to power for pixel cleaning.
I’m no expert, but using Linux as well, I do reboot mostly since A: my pc wakes up randomly when put to hibernation (haven’t fixed it yet). B: I’m using SSDs so a cold boot takes no time at all.
What kind of hibernating are you referring to? Since if its on RAM I can imagine possible data loss when the power is cut.

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Why is the transfer speed so slow from my laptop to mobile phone on wired cable?English
39·3 months agoIt has probably something to do with the large quantities of individual files.
It works through the list of files one by one. The indexing, writing and checking of individual files takes longer than one single .zip file. Thus zipping them first increases the overall speed.

3·3 months agoCowboy Bebop is a must watch (Not the netflix live action version please skip that one)
Futhermore there are things like Samurai Champloo, Black Lagoon, Trigun, Ninja Kamui and a movie with great animation: Akira (1988)
Studio Ghibli is also great, such a warm animation style.
Maybe oddtaxi?
