• Not parenting one’s children and instead leaving them to ‘thing of the day/age’ isn’t exactly new. I recall stories of children being expelled from the home and left unsupervised until they were expected to come home of their own volition at the end of the day.
• Without knowing what you mean by ‘alarming parenting advice’ I can’t really comment on that but what immediately comes to mind is religious commands to murder children who were insufficiently deferential to their parents.
• Additionally to murder beatings were also prescribed for children in the books of vile darkness.
• This one might actually be some abhorrence unique to capitalism.

There’s a lot of things that in a non-dystopia would be good and correct that they are available… however that is precisely what we have, happy to twist and distort absolutely everything until regardless of the intention it is some form of cruelty. Then atop it all we’ve the final insult to our intelligence that somehow we’re the “unreasonable” ones or that we’re meant to find the inane position of meeting the advocates for dystopia halfway reasonable.

Only unrealistic part is Human sniper and the warning. It’ll be a drone the moment a drone could make the shot with 50.1% odds. can make the shot in sufficiently few shots that cost of ammo & electricity beats wages for a sniper.

Honestly, at this point the only China/USSR bad talking pointthat comes to mind that I haven’t also found in the USA is bread lines… in no small part because the government here doesn’t care if you starve.
