Obama didn’t separate kids from their parents and intentionally not leave a paper trail so as to effectively make the kids orphans. Obama didn’t execute citizens under the guise of immigration enforcement. Obama didn’t commit blatant fraud and quid pro quo. Obama didn’t attack lgbtq+ rights and pick some of the worst people to put in every position of authority – supreme court, all departments, etc. Be angry if you want, but don’t be ignorant. Obama isn’t the best of the DNC party; we need better, but willful ignorance won’t get us there.

What’s your strategy? Sanders hasnt become the DNC leader yet, so I reject your premise that it can’t work. We’ve seen how the GOP party can change, for the worse. The billionaires will exist in whatever you’re proposing, right up until they don’t exist, so that’s not any kind of counter argument to improving the DNC.

A local “tool library” hosted a 2 hour class through the community college on small engine repair. It was really great. IDK how much you took it apart, but a few things they covered:

1. The starter pull rotates a large magnet to force the piston to start firing. There is a resting brake applied to the magnet that is attached to the pull arm where you grab the mower. If that’s “stuck” it won’t pull nicely and allow you to start the mower. Related, the brake will also ground out the spark plug to kill the engine. Both could be potentially fixed by taking it apart.

2. Fuel doesn’t last forever and can get gunky. That could impact hoses, carberator, and starter.

3. Too many failed starts could flood the piston. You might have helped clear it out.

Forewarned, totally new to small engines but above was helpful for me. I got my mower started that hadn’t been used for ~8 years after replacing the carberator. Got my gas weed whacker (FIL gave it to me after he downsized his house) started after a spark plug change. Next up is a gas pressure water I got at an estate sale.

Reminds me of one of my elementary school English teachers. We were all given a blank hardcover book and had to make a story with illustrations. Mine was called “The Loose Kitty”. Every page basically had the kitty on the loose in different areas of a city, running into other animals that had some rhyming. I spent so much time with the art, proofing it, etc. This teacher took hard red ink and strikes through loose and put “lost” ON EVERY PAGE. I tried to tell her no it is loose because EVERYTHING IN THE BOOK related to being “on the loose”. Nope. Got like a C- on that thing.
