I see that .it domain 👀 siete italiani? Regardless it looks like a fantastic project, kudos! Especially interested in the static site hosting since right now I use an American service (Porkbun) for my own site, $30/year for 1 gb which is enough for me, but if I could switch to a European host for a similar price I totally would!

Lycaon@lemm.eeto Ask@lemm.ee•Have you ever had or seen an "then everyone clapped" moment?English15·8 days agoSome weeks ago a drunk guy got on the bus and immediately started shouting and being rowdy. The bus driver got up, went up to the guy, sternly told him to get off the bus now - and the guy did lol. There was no clapping outright but everyone praised the bus driver. And for good reason tbh gigachad bus driver
Great!! Whiskey went to the woods and dog park every day for the past week - except today because we ran into a boar in the woods and had to run back lol so no dog park either (as it’s on the other side of the woods). He’s also been sleeping on my mum’s bed every night lately which is very cute! She doesn’t live here but has to stay an extra few weeks due to an injury that needs healing - and Whiskey is very happy about it because he loves his grandma (。・ω・。)ノ♡
What a gorgeous photo!! I love the perspective, makes me want to draw something similar!
For me, what worked best has been smaller sites/communities! Specifically art/roleplay spaces (with the caveat these spaces also have a lot of drama and people who live for said drama) and virtual pet sites somehow lol. But I also feel like people online just aren’t as interested in talking or having actual conversations as much as they used to, so it’s less about looking in specific places and more about just… Getting lucky and finding someone on your same wavelength I suppose.
Gaming can be another way to meet people too. Can’t speak from experience there, but my brother was super involved in the Hearts of Iron IV modding community for years and made friends through it!
What a horrible day to have eyes.
Necessary is one of those I never struggled with somehow! Miscellaneous and mischief, on the other hand…
Well, nature is… What it is lol. Roman seagulls are built different man, wouldn’t be surprised if there’s traces of rat and pigeon in that
I saw them!! The Italian 24 hour news channel had a “chimney cam” next to the regular broadcast and I was way more invested in the seagull family than the smoke lol

Maybe all the crazies just go to Venice lol. The ones that irk me the most though, as someone who takes public transit, is people with 0 train/bus manners, stop trying to get on while other people are getting off!! Step the fuck out of the way oh my god some of us are trying to get to work!!
Lycaon@lemm.eeto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What tv streaming platforms are you on?English3·18 days agoRaiPlay! It’s the online version of Italian public TV and has a lot of good stuff on it, though it can be a bit finicky on some smart TVs
Lycaon@lemm.eeto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•Hobbies Wednesday - what have you done this week?English1·19 days agoThree weeks ago I decided to bite the bullet and start teaching myself Japanese, so that’s what I’ve been doing daily since! Doing a mix of immersion and actual grammar studying and it’s so satisfying!! I feel like I’m learning a bit more every day, it’s so cool to listen to songs I’ve been listening to for years and understand a few new words each time~ My only regret is not starting sooner, I thought I’d be too stupid to teach myself a language… Until I remembered I taught myself English as a teenager by just using the internet a lot, and now my English is better than my Italian lol
Lycaon@lemm.eeto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What are you saving money for right now?English2·24 days agoA (likely secondhand) PS5 because a game I really want, Digimon Story Time Stranger, releases this year! That’s my biggest goal right now, but aside from that there’s also some albums and Tamagotchi I want to buy eventually haha
Lycaon@lemm.eeOPto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's the fastest you left a job?English3·24 days agoNope there’s a form we compile for them where they give us either their IBAN or credit card number (just the number and expiry date not the secret code) alongside the name DOB and civic code. They keep a copy of it since it’s tax deductible too. I actually don’t really know exactly how it works because so far my team leader has been the one doing all the paperwork for me
Lycaon@lemm.eeOPto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's the fastest you left a job?English2·24 days agoOh this is 100% legal here in Italy! It’s called commission based income (or something like that) and there’s no minimum wage here either (I worked for €5/hour at another job…) so it’s not a scam. Scummy for sure lol but completely legal.
If not Indeed is there anything else you’d recommend? I landed my previous jobs through connections and never really learned how to look for work online for as pathetic as that sounds haha. Genuinely the basic office job paying €800/month has been my goal for the past few years but they’re much harder to get than I thought they’d be, or maybe I just have no idea what I’m doing lol
Lycaon@lemm.eeOPto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's the fastest you left a job?English31·25 days agoGood on you for warning others honestly! That wounds dreadful, yikes
Lycaon@lemm.eeOPto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's the fastest you left a job?English14·25 days agoThis place is very upfront about the fact they expect people to quit since they mostly hire high school/university students (another reason I don’t like it here, I’m in my 30s and older than everyone…) so that’s good, my problem is that I’m unfortunately a people pleaser and hate the idea of letting my team leader down after she’s been so nice to me haha. I know it doesn’t really matter and it’s something I just need to get over but it’s easier said than done lol
Lycaon@lemm.eeOPto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's the fastest you left a job?English8·25 days agoOh totally!! I don’t have reason to think they would try to scam me but better safe than sorry
Lycaon@lemm.eeOPto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What's the fastest you left a job?English13·25 days agoOh man sounds crazy lmao!! With how incompetent they sound I find it hard to imagine they lasted much longer after you left
Animal Crossing Wild World! I like New Horizons a lot too, but there’s just something about Wild World that’s cosy in a way no other game has been able to replicate for me
