Oh yeah, but watching this from outside is leading me to believe that there is no unifying force in the usa. Also it seems every american thinks that they are in the majority and that someone will swoop in anyday now.

Really at this point the damage is done. Rule of law is gone, international relations permanently damaged if not out right destroyed, literal masked goons on the streets picking up undesirables and 1000 other indications that the usa as a nation is done (at least as a free one).

Well its here, and I can hope/dream its the dumb type of fascism that collapses under its own weight.

I will be a touch disappointed if there is still a us in 2028.

A long and rich tradition

Glad I just got one from a yard sale. I don’t really have a use for it, just fixed it and think it is nice to stand in my front yard at the beginning and end of each day (within the legal noise ordinance) revving it up and blowing nothing. Just for my neighbours.

A major issue that seems to be taking a back seat to racism (lets face it at this point you may as well just assume its there) is the overt posturing about taking control of the largest city in the us directly counter to the populations interest.

I am involved in local governance here and its not fun under the UCP but its not the bleak right wing hellscape the rest of the nation says it is.

The NDP just won 2/3 of last weeks byelections here. We do have a loud minority voice of right wing crazy but if anything the province is moving away from the right.

Not an american. So I have that going for me.

Whenever I see “Removed by mod” I check the mod log to see what was said. Its one of the best ways to get me to read and up/down vote something.
