I agree with you to a certain extent - but at the end of the day there are just too many pundits constantly giving their opinions all over the TV. When I was a kid (70’s / 80’s) we had Match of the Day with Jimmy Hill on BBC and the Saint and Greavsy show on ITV - that was it as far as I can remember. And there wasn’t the endless talk about tactics and playing styles that dominates today - you just watched a game and enjoyed it, without trying to break it down and endlessly analyse it - I find it all a bit tiring, tbh.

Tbh, I think the very last thing that PL football needs at the moment is ‘more’ rules open to human interpretation. They’ve done their best to fuck the game up wth VAR already - let’s not give them any more ideas.
