If they at least saw things wrapped up, even if prematurely, I’d be more okay with it. But all my favourite Netflix series (Santa Clarita Diet, Kaos, etc) were all dropped without such an effort.

I had to cancel my Netflix subscription because that isn’t worth it.

At the same time, extending that hand is what will help. If a person is able to go “omg NOW I get it” and then the door is shut in their face, that will foster even more resentment.
