You’re right. But in the interest of no stupid questions I thought I’d ask anyway, because…you know, what if?.
And thanks for the grammar lesson, I didn’t ask for that one but I’ll take it on board.
Hey.
I’m Dan. A 36 year old father of two who doesn’t have nearly as much time as he needs to do half the things he wishes he had the time to do.
You’re right. But in the interest of no stupid questions I thought I’d ask anyway, because…you know, what if?.
And thanks for the grammar lesson, I didn’t ask for that one but I’ll take it on board.
Thank you.
I think I saw a show 20 or so years ago that tried to debunk this and obviously either they messed up, or I wasn’t paying attention.
(The show was called Brainiac).
Turned 2 a few weeks back. I think we’re entering, or have just entered the terrible twos. Fun fun fun.
Son broke my favourite mug. And he then threw my phone at my wrist, which hit my watch and scratched the phone screen. Yeah, its been a fun one.
I’ve stopped looking at my notifications on Reddit, it’s just too anxiety inducing for me. Thankfully I’ve not had that same problem here, although I’m sure it’ll happen eventually.
Hope you feel better.
Maybe I could use that time to watch The West Wing? I’ve heard nothing but good things about it but…who’s got the time.
I dunno, I could spend a good long while playing nothing but Football Manager if I didn’t have to worry about being anywhere else.
I mean, is this in real time because I won’t lie, I bet there’s an awful lot of ‘boring’ mixed in with all the amazing moments.
I think Farrell suffered a similar sort of thing as Brad Pitt did in the 90s in that he’s super attractive…oh and he was in that bad Daredevil movie. Aside from that I can’t remember him ever being the reason a movie was bad, and whenever I see him he’s absolutely fantastic.
Don’t know about how it is in the US, but in the UK the idea of people rushing to finish their transaction fills me with dread. I’ve worked in a supermarket with self service and the general public really struggles with them.
It was the only of my three cars that hasn’t been totalled by a driver not paying attention when driving past it.
Yup. Two cars have been written off whilst parked down my street inside two years. Love it!
Big Fish was one of the first movies I watched when I started really paying attention to what I was watching. And to this day it remains one of my favourites. Sleepy Hollow doesn’t get enough love either. Stellar cast.
Don’t set yourself alight to keep yourself warm. Not always easy, but it is something I believe. You can only do so much if someone isn’t willing to help themself.
The last game that truly gave me the feeling you described is Lies of P. It was my favourite game of 2023 and the 60 or so hours I put into beating it were very well spent.
Definitely spending the day with my young children, going to a soft-play and then going out for a lunch filled with ‘no no no don’t throw that’ before we return home for a fun evening of 'daaaaaaady, daaaaaaaady’ entirely on my own in total silence apart from the sound of my TV with a videogame on, a fresh cup of tea in my mug and maybe a takeaway pizza on the way.
Might also explain why Cricket is so popular. Obviously it still requires a fair amount of physical exertion but it’s definitely a bit more laid back than something like Rugby.
Prefer digital because space is a factor in my house. I love the idea of physical, and I’ll usually go that way for art or reference books. However paperback equivalent I’m always going digital.
Although if I really love a book I’ll always look to add it to my bookshelf at some point.
I’ve only seen one or two WSL games on TV but I’m always happy to see more sport content on Lemmy so good luck.
I can see both arguments for and against voting for a third party. Ultimately it’s your call and you’re gonna do what you’re gonna do. I do think it’s a sign of a deeply broken system when people can legitimately think that casting your vote for another candidate is a waste though.
I’m in the UK and whilst it’s not exactly the same an awful lot of people will say that a vote for anyone that isn’t Labour is a vote for the Big Bad Tories. And whilst I do agree that it probably doesn’t help get rid of the Tories it’s also a pretty bad indictment of how broken the electoral system is.
I mean it was called Brainiac and it did have John Tickle walking on top of a pool of custard. Are you suggesting I was wrong to use that as my foundation for all knowledge??
