I don’t think he’s maligned at all but he’s just not great. A good player, not a great player, as a great man once said. Nobody should have beef with Aaron but also nobody should have beef with a team looking for better.

I’m not a Liverpool or Chelsea fan. I watched a lot of these players. Gerrard was very good but sometimes a bit too much looking for Hollywood passes.

Lampard was great. Apart from his incredible goals record, he could play short, intelligent passes through midfield. IMO Lampard was the better player.

If you forget about Unai at Arsenal and the easy comparison to Arteta, maybe he has a point. But as usual I think he’s just saying shit for headlines. Carragher is an idiot.
