Had not seen that, thanks for sharing. The complete tonal and attitude shift is pretty chilling.

<Insert the astronaut “always has been” meme>
You mean a car? Back in the 50s that would’ve been optional with proper public transportation, but now that’s a mandatory cost just to get to work.

Electrical is both inferior and superior to gas, depending on the application. To each their own according to preference, but for me it’s induction -> gas -> halogen -> resistive coils

The last disaster recovery test was at the last disaster. What do you mean we need processes?

It’s an oath upheld through force to begin with, and if the authority doing the upholding is compromised the oath itself becomes mere spectacle.
Unless the people actually hold oath-breakers individually accountable, relying on the compromised military leadership or the compromised courts won’t do shit.

Two recorded salutes. Like, we have it on video from multiple sources.
And yet, he gets to have the fucking ADL run cover for him. It’s disgusting what you get away with if you’re rich enough to either make people eat their words, or they self-censor to avoid possible fallout.
What about the band? Or the singer?
I remember the “The only good Bush is…<band photo/singer photo>” shirts back in the “bombing for peace is like fucking for virginity” protest days.
Is this is reference to the Microsoft guy’s LinkedIn meme? This one: https://programmerhumor.io/microsoft-memes/peak-programmer-career-trajectory-lntk
Hmmmm, where have I heard the abbreviation SA before? And why does it feel eerily relevant to this administration pushing the term SI?

Which houses the ICC, another institution he is picking a fight with/applying sanctions to.
If he were a cartoon villain he’d be considered so far over the top in his vallainy it would be unbelievable.

Thank you for your service. People too easily get riled up over screenshots without source verification.

That’s Superintelligence King of SUPER America to you, cretin.
Is this a US thing? I just requested my entire advertiser profile from Amazon in Canada, and I don’t see any of these statements, just who bought my profile and the topics I am associated with (like “Automotive”).

At the risk of being called a “not all men apologist” here, I, as a man, can’t fathom how anyone could be motivated to rape someone. The mere thought of violating consent to such a degree is physically repulsive to me. And to then add physical assault to that and violate someone who is unconscious, I am at a loss for words. In fact, I can’t even being to imagine how you can even go through with that act physically.
At some level it makes me think that the people perpetrating these acts aren’t even human, but that’s also a way too convenient excuse to let them off the hook. The really challenging part for me (and I suppose many other men) is accepting that they ARE human, and they walk among us. I have no idea how to deal with this, legitimately.
I always presume that everyone I meet is a reasonable, non-violent, “normal” person, and it’s things like this (rape statistic numbers) that shatter that world view to the point of leaving me simultaneously feeling incredibly angry, powerless, and paranoid about my fellow humans.
I am so sorry for her and all other victims who’ve had to experience something so far beyond what I can even begin to imagine, and I know that nothing I say here will make a difference. I hope you’re able to heal back to some semblance of yourself before this happened to you, and I will support both monetarily and vocally any effort to eradicate this behaviour from our societies.
Downvote me if you want for providing this personal perspective in a thread about a victim (and victims) of rape. I don’t intend to grandstand here, take attention away from the victim(s), or make myself look like some sort of white knight. I just need a place to share my perspective and I hope Lemmy will allow me to do so.

Oh hey, who could’ve seen that one coming from President “Cheat like hell”?

I legitimately hate how AI has made certain turns of phrase, styles of writing, shorthand, and other meaningful tools of expression suspect.
It’s the same as discovering new music these days. I’m constantly checking if the band the algorithms provided actually exist IRL.
Can we please just collapse this damn bubble and skip forward to the time where AI is used as a meaningful tool for certain applications instead of it being used for everything everywhere?
Yeah, that’s why they both have their applications. If you want to just block some things and allow everything else, use a blacklist. If you want to block everything but some things, use a whitelist.
Attempting to do with one what the other is designed for is an exercise in frustration IMHO. Hence asking.
Ooooh, I love an opportunity to learn. As someone who has used both blacklists and whitelists throughout the years extensively I’d like to know why one is superior over the other in your perspective.
Well, let’s see in what new and interesting ways Cisco software can break. Not that they needed help but it’ll be fun to see this unfold.
