My ebike is used exclusively for fast short trips where I need to carry stuff. Anything else I ride a bicycle because I know it’ll never run out of power (unless it’s really shitty out, then I cave and drive usually).

Guess it’s time to either flash my Roku with something that isn’t shit or just make a dedicated media box myself.

Remember, the last half of your battery is not the same as the first half. If you are relying on power, especially in remote locations, use it conservatively!

Send them a fake/photoshopped ID. I did that with Facebook when they pulled that shit to try and stop me from deleting my account by locking it.

Keep in mind you will want the bike/battery itself to be at a safe temperature before you charge it, not just the temperature of the air around the bike: It will hold heat or cold for longer.

You could use a thermometer but just feeling if it his hot/frozen to the touch should be good enough.

That is precisely why you need to be extra careful: Idiots in vehicles are, by far, the biggest threat to cyclists, pedestrians, skaters, scooters, and drivers.

Reminder to be careful out there and ride with a camera recording and your helmeted head on a swivel because you never know who isn’t paying attention to the road!

Don’t charge your battery at extreme temperatures (freezing or roasting) and consult your manual about safe operating temperatures.

I can tell you when it is freezing, your battery will definitely suffer depleted range. If you operate it in extreme temperatures, bring the battery back inside and allow it to return to a safe temperature before you attempt to recharge.

These are partly why I ended up ditching my ebike in favor of a regular bike most of the time: It’s just less to manage and stress about. My legs work at any temperature and won’t burst into flames (though sometimes when I am tired or too beat up, I wimp out and take something that has its own power).

There have definitely been inconsistencies in the past where certain types of violent rhetoric gets a pass but other content that even comes close gets axed no question.
