I do this all the time with my cats, especially since one of them can’t see well. They gently sniff and just appreciate being included. They dont eat my food or whatever i show them.
I tend to do it with my friends cats too, but that gets me into trouble when I realize that some of them gobble up or stick their whole head into whatever I proffer them.
My cats are little angels. Rachel, your cat is an asshole lol

I’m also still using Proton for email and calendar, but I’ve heard about Fossify Calendar and have been meaning to look into it.
For contacts I have a Nextcloud instance running that I sync my contacts up to and use the stock GrapheneOS contacts app.
This might be exactly what I’m looking for, thank you! I’m fine with Beeper itself, I just want the decryption on a machine I control so this looks perfect if I can get it working. Thanks!
I’m aware, as stated in the post I mentioned I’ve been trying that one out but running into a lot of issues. I’m not trying to debug those here though, just trying to get opinions on other options.
Are there any emulators out there that haven’t been taken down yet?
My current laptop I use when I’m away from home is a surface pro (one of the ones from like 2017). It just doesn’t hold more than two hours of charge now and constantly freezes just simply browsing.
After reading the replies here, I’m currently considering a refurbished framework 13 because I value its repairability though you do make salient points about their supply chain if they go under.
I may also wait a bit as I think I can hold off without a laptop for bit longer. All depends on where my job takes me in the coming months. Or if I still have one :/
