Have you not paid attention to their situation in the last decade at all? They’ve been bombed, starved to a famine and everything else that could be thought up with the help of Saudi Arabia and the US. If you think people have been “playing nice” with them so far you’re incredibly far off.
Oh good, I was so worried they might have to suffer sitting out fucking Eurovision. Can you even imagine the damage that might cause them?

I missed this because I was too busy dancing to the news of Kissinger’s death, but amazing news! Big W for Panama and the protesters especially!
Suddenly my skin is clear, my crops are watered, the sun is shining, the grass is green, and my grades are up :D

This realization somehow amazes and depresses me at the same time
You can’t point out hypocrisy without “whataboutism”. You could say it was an ad hominem, but not whataboutism, when the point is to show someone is a hypocrite.
It caused me to pay attention to Ireland’s news over the past few days which is how I’ve come to find that somebody just tried to hack an innocent stranger to death with a machete in Dublin yesterday. No riots or even protests though, so clearly you need a concerted effort to get that type of thing going and it’s not just people getting angry at the news.
Owners/ceos need to be held accountable so they actually care what is happening
This. Until someone with real power is actually held accountable for the shit they purposefully or passively allow, nothing will be done about it as long as long as it remains profitable.
Oh you might be right about that. I didn’t read too carefully after I saw that babies were snatched. If they weren’t taken from any parents/caregivers it would matter a lot more how they were treated afterwards, but I still think the practice, even when it leads to better outcomes, is morally repugnant because it opens a very dangerous door to ever sign off on what essentially functions as human trafficking. Although it does make me slightly more relieved that at least they weren’t taken from their parents. Glad you caught that!
No matter how well or unwell intentioned, stealing babies from their parents to give to someone else has always been one of the most revolting crimes out there for me. Absolutely vile regardless of how the baby snatchers intend to treat the kid.
Something about calling them “rival Koreas” is kinda cute ngl
I think falsely claiming preschoolers have rooms for masturbation or anything sex-related is still a tad worse than falsely claiming they shit or pee weirdly. They serve the same goal of attacking public schools, but one still just seems more fucked up than the other.
Another two Lebanese journalists were just killed by IDF in south lebanon. One of which was killed just an hour after having tweeted that israel has been intimidating journalists and that they couldn’t stay quiet. I hope they’ll get air support there because it is absolutely ridiculous at this point how many they’ve killed. I don’t know why Iran would need it, even from Russia’s pov. I haven’t heard of them being directly involved yet.
I agree with you on Massa, and on needing a change. But I also think Milei is likely gonna continue to drag the country down plus whatever brand of crazy he wants to stick to once he gets into office.
The truth is you were gonna be screwed (economically) either way. Massa did not give a shit about the country and his greed plus his incompetence (if not his disregard for the good of the people) led to the 140% inflation Argentina is currently experiencing. Milei on the other hand is legitimately crazy (I’m not talking about the conservatism) and also economically incompetent. I understand why he won, and I agree that Massa led the country to the disaster it is in now.
The options you could have voted for were both essentially promising to drag the country down. The only difference was that Milei hasn’t had a chance to prove it yet, and that makes him seem more promising than Massa who has proven to be who he is. Short of a miracle or a revolution, you were always gonna get the short end of the stick, economically speaking (which is what most voters obviously care about). I wish you the best and still hope it might turn out better than it seems right now.
What the fuck does any of that have to do with what I said? You seemed to be under the impression that the Houthis or Yemen in general weren’t already despised and under attack by both their closest neighbor and the most powerful military in the world. I corrected your misunderstanding. Don’t put (moronic) words in my mouth because you failed to do the absolute minimum research before commenting on something (again).
