Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•People who "cross the T's and dot the I's" in their hand writing, how do you visualize a word when you write?
1·2 months agoBlock writing, do it with the letter, linked/cursive do it at the end of the word. Many linked writing words turn into a block-linked hybrid for legibility. Idk, just picture how well it will be read and write accordingly. Single strike-out if you mess up, it lets the reader see what you were trying to write but messed up, helps with homonyms…

It’s a shift as more dedditors and mobile users migrate. I think I’m going to try some forums that don’t have an app so that there’s some entry barrier. I just can’t understand people posting pointless shit that doesn’t contribute to the conversation.
Yep, the content of comments is often good, but geez, there are a bunch of people with no social skills being total dorks or confidently incorrect

Change it to 2035 or 2040 and check back. I’ll bet you for your air conditioning credits against my houseplant allowances that it’s more like this than not.
Don’t get a new Samsung. I liked mine until they moved/force updated to OneUI 8 like 3 months in and I have hated it since. I have an old LG 5g that I’m bringing out of retirement once this thing is paid off. Miss that SD card, 3.5mm aux, and a stable, reliable, predictable UI. Glad I took care of that old phone since LG is out of the market and we have like 3 options in the States for phone hardware anymore…

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have I been traumatized into thinking that it is rare for women to enjoy spoiling their male partners with affection?
2·2 months agoIt’s a cultural thing. We in the anglosphere have been mentally poisoned to need everything to be transactional or cost to benefit analysis based. ‘What’s in it for me’ mentality.
Date other cultures to find what you’re looking for, but there will be other expectations from you, as well.

I’m not following your question… Grapefruit inhibits the breakdown of meds, it’s probably important to appropriately dose HRTs over days/weeks or else there could be some problems with the endocrine systems due to unexpectedly elevated levels (e.g. cardio stuff).
Regardless of the Snoop, never try to 100% life. Always leave sometime to strive for.

Correct, 80-20% is the healthiest range for batteries, but I don’t think it makes too much of a difference to be honest. Then again I replaced the battery of my Nexus 5 in like an hour back a decade ago, but no idea if something like that is still possible

4·2 months agoI think I’m thinking of ZTE, the change was like 2016-2017.
I had a ZUK phone at the time, and it was amazing. Lenovo bought them and incorporated them, and my Lenovo phone was also excellent but useless in the States due to using different bands/lack of software for the West.

This is a smart move.
