I turned off the stream when their winner went in. Missed the pens 😅

If you lose one poker hand - you can blame bad luck but when you constantly fold a winning hand, then it’s just a bad player.
Are we officially a meme club now?
I said in my final paragraph that Lemmy is nice but there is so little content here. The communities I frequent here (with very active reddit counterparts) have like a submission every few days. Just check !football@lemmy.world for example.
Expect us to pull out a win after a Bruno worldie in 90+3.
Mostly curious if we can keep Coventry to <20 shots.
My first gig as a software developer offered Fedora23 I think it was if you wanted Linux. Would be interesting to see how much has changed but I don’t really have a machine to just throw fedora on
I was close to it. I’m an advocate for paying for services I use. We’re way too used to getting everything for free and we should be willing to pay for services we appreciate.
Which made me realise that Facebook especially I don’t appreciate. So I quit instead. It had value to me once but those times are long gone.
Who cares, we’re leaving an economy where no one cared about profitability. Just growth. It’s all about whether they can capitalize on that growth now.
Spotify was the same. Turned a profit the first quarter after shifting the focus towards profitability.
I’ve never seen the view of an IPO so heavily affected by bias. Superusers hate Reddit but so what - what matters is whether soccer moms are scrolling and being shown ads. No one cares that the most costly users are unsatisfied. You and me both are nothing to investors.
Is there some objective analysis of this IPO? All I’m seeing is “I’m a superuser who spent a lot of time on Reddit in 2007 and it was far superior back then. The stock will tank.”
Most likely he played it off as rape fantasy role play or something? If he tells the police that what it was and he manages to get her to tell the same story and she drops the charges - there’s not much the police can do.
Ofc it’s bullshit but that’s my guess how it played out at least.
Always rated him
(never heard of him)
When ETH is inevitably let go in the future, he will go on and win the CL with Dortmund or something. Meanwhile, United will appoint the next manager to fail at getting this bunch of players to care for more than 45 minutes at the time.
What I don’t understand is - as said in The Athletic - nothing unexpected has happened. Are they really that out of touch (especially after the ESL backlash) with the rest of the world?
Oh come on, his girlfriend didn’t give him another chance. It’s either a financial situation where she realises she’s much better off financially if she “forgives” him or there’s too much pressure from people to not be the person who “ruined” Greenwood’s career.
Mason Greenwood is a monster, a horrible human being and thrash. He shouldn’t be anywhere near this club. Rich people shouldn’t be able to get away with this shit just because they are rich or good at kicking a ball.
Yesterday, I tried to think of ways I could accept Greenwood back into the team. Like what if he issued a public apology, donated all his wages to charities for preventing domestic violance, and committed himself to changing?
But even then I couldn’t get myself to think that I could cheer for him in the team. I don’t think he wants to change and I don’t think he can change. Any “change” or effort would just be a PR stunt.
Nah fuck him. I don’t want to watch him. I’ll skip matches when he’s in the squad.
Main negative for me is that we play utter shite after a decent transfer window with new joiners coming in relatively early (compared to last windows) and facing an opposition which should be in shambles (new manager 4 days ago, no relevant transfer activity). When the experts in the Swedish studio beforehand talked about how dull and uninspiring this Wolves squad looked, I just knew they would run all over United…
This worries me though because 1. we can’t expect Højlund to play 90 minutes every game and 2. we don’t even know what level he’ll be at. For all we know, he could be Weghorst but Danish
When the narrative is that Wolves is chaotic, they had no (relevant) transfer activity this summer, and their manager was appointed four days ago… you just know that they’re going to go out and want it so much more than Man United.
Why does it keep happening with this club? Why is it so common to see them go out on a pitch against a lesser opponent and just… not seem to want it?
Will miss his energy. He always gave 120% on the pitch.
Anyone know what the full 90 shots conceded was?
