@BrikoX cool stuff! I’m not very interested myself but good on them for everything they managed to achieve so far!

@BrikoX cool stuff! I’m not very interested myself but good on them for everything they managed to achieve so far!

@Naho_Zako and btw fuck this stuff that in order for something to be cool and “manly” it has to conform to the Hollywood style or else it’s childish or gay or both. It’s nothing but propaganda and marketing

@Naho_Zako by the sound of it I agree with your mother then! FF15 was impressive technically, the way camera simulated exposure when moving from a dark place to a bright one for example. However FF7 with its pencil-sharpner-shaped hands and pre-rendered backgrounds was still more expressive, had more atmosphere than the technologically stunning new stuff

@other_cat “We just understand, unlike the dolts voting this into legislation, that the responsibility is with the parents not with the overreaching governments” disheartening to see how people still believe the propaganda

@wopalopa @GamingBot when the demo of FF15 came out I was so excited about it I bought the spinoff FF game just to get the demo. The spinoff game was supposed to be good but imho it was another mess of weird royals, gunmen, chocobos that didn’t fit and a story so convoluted and names so weird I was forgetting them 3 seconds after reading the dialogues

@wopalopa @GamingBot they abandoned the fun battle mechanics and deep storytelling a while back, it’s all graphics now. Graphics is a lot of work, a lot. I remember zero from FF15, except the up and down with the damn car, I remember even less from FF13 and have skipped FF16 entirely

@reseller_pledge609 sounds like the average Twitter user then. A good candidate for a block

@ZippyBot what do you mean? And how is that related to gaming?

@ZippyBot looks cool! More info here https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/frictional-reveal-soma-follow-up-ontos-a-lunar-nightmare-with-talking-rat-walls-and-stellan-skarsgard I hope it matches the atmosphere of Amnesia, which I’m still to scered to pick up again and continue playing

@ZippyBot more info here https://www.gamesradar.com/games/rpg/larians-next-rpg-is-a-new-divinity-and-its-even-larger-than-baldurs-gate-3/ but I’m a but sceptical… Kirill Pokrovsky is long dead, most of the focus these days is on 3D and “cool” graphics. And like I said very likely no Linux

@ZippyBot knowing good ol’ Swen, there will be a Windows version, a Mac version, a version for each console and no Linux :D

@HarkMahlberg @ZippyBot I see, well that’s hardly a pedo scene imo but some people like to take things out of context and spin crazy narratives so what do I know. What with that game where you had to “nail a coffin with a live girl inside in order to win”… I know exactly what kind of people sided with that version of the story, and it’s not the kind who’d know which side of a PS2 controller goes up

@Zahille7 interesting! I found this review, I suppose this is it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=–mCTtm1txk and it’d seem #Steam falsely accused it of containing pedo scenes or something. As I read, the game is a critique to certain political systems, if that’s true then I’m not surprised someone somewhere would just seek to ban it, Steam probably just complied and provided the devs with a random excuse that sounded good enough

@ZippyBot for those of us who don’t know, what is Horses and why is it banned?
@Pro @syklemil I don’t get it either. I tried asking around in the past and it seems to come from a hate for Lennart, which gets hated for creating systemd… Something like that. It didn’t really make sense. I’m interested in newer alternatives of course but I personally use systemd all the time since 2016 at least and I don’t see any problems with it

@BrikoX they must have found out that suing minors is harder, so they’re not the ideal user base. Better have adult customers that can be threatened and sued into oblivion! Fanbois will put up with all of it no questions asked
@GamingBot oh no! In hindsight it looks like all those #AI tokens weren’t worth paying for, nor were the 14 layers of management but who could have thought so amirite?
