Saying that’s identical to a fictional robot uprising against humanity is foolish and only serves to legitimize the lies being spread to enrich the people pushing them.

On the one hand, yes, it’s different people. That said, this particular movie specifically chose to hide the damage to victims and solely focus on the emotions of the man who enabled the tragedy. I’m all for stories of people trying to redeem themselves, but deliberately ignoring the victims was a bad choice, imo.
