They aren’t buying the ads to convince you to buy it anytime soon. They are buying the ads to plant the seed of the link to their brand with whatever the thing is. That way in the future when you have long forgot about the ad and you are looking for bone broth you might buy theirs because it looks familiar even if you don’t know why. This is a time tested process that absolutely works.

If you think you are immune to it then you are fooling yourself and are half way to being the perfect little consumer that they want.

People in general seem to have a hard time grasping the notion of just how much power we all have collectively. Part of me hates to see her try. As long as she is straddling the line between serious presidential candidate and popular US House member my head cannon reasons there is still some sanity in some small part of our political institutions.

Watching her actually seriously try to get the top job and watching the DNC ruin her for it would be so depressing.

No one gets elected for having a well reasoned plan to actually bring down a budget deficit these days in the long term. The voter can’t or won’t accept that fixing something that took years to create will take years to get out of. And admitting that is electoral suicide.

The problem here is not her message, it is how the headlines present it.

She is not saying that having a billion dollars is wrong per se in a vacuum. she is saying how you go about getting a billion dollars in the real world is what makes it wrong.

That distinction is far too subtle for the average voter. She is talking about the rules of chess while ~50% of the country barely knows how to play checkers.

The better thing to focus on for people is probably the methods by which billionaires go about making their money more so than the specific amounts of money they end up with because of it.

In my opinion if someones only qualification for being in charge of a business is having an MBA and having been in management at other places then that are grossly unqualified to be in charge of anything outside of their own finances.
