There has to be some significant distance, in relation to the thickness of the phone for this to work. Until camera technology advances and somehow produces a comparatively sharp image, we will be stuck with the bump. It’ll happen at some point I’m sure, but there is a whole bunch of tech that will need to change to get there.

IDK where you were riding… 10 year cycle courier veteran from Boston here with my own anecdotal experience. This could very well be a personal health thing with you. Never had any issues related to the fumes in my throat, or heard of any related issues within the messenger community. If you told me over time that the fumes have a negative impact on healh I’d believe it, but I probably wouldn’t listen to a commuter who rode a tiny fraction of the urban cycling I’ve done personally. I’d be very interested to see a study on long term bike messengers.

Sure, we are all capable of the whole gamut of political opinions, it’s foolish to gauge race as the only deciding factor. On that we agree. There is also a whole messaging thing that would need to shift for Republicans to appeal to a wider variety of people, which is what I was trying to point out. How many times has JD Vance spoke in narrow terms about “the white working class” , that’s probably not a message that appeals much to a diverse electorate. I don’t think the current Republican party would even tolerate Michael Steele at this point.
