It probably depends on how you quantify the input.
If it’s by volume, I’d agree that it’s probably cows or pigs. But if it’s by individual animal, it might be something smaller like chickens.
A lot of male chicks become pet food shortly after birth, which is what I think would skew the numbers.
I spent a week trying to work out why my traefik instance wasn’t forwarding http & Https traffic to any of my docker containers. By the fifth day I remembered that the week before I’d decided it would be a good idea to test locally before uploading to my vps, by adding my site URLs to my hosts file. (All except traefik: which meant I was able to access the dashboard and see all my routers online… I just couldn’t reach any of them, with no logs for access etc… drove me insane.).
It was only until I tried accessing from my mobile that I realised what I’d done.
Should’ve known better, but that’s the price we pay for “good ideas” at 2am.
Had my first on Monday.
The procedure itself is fine (had mine with sedation, so didn’t even notice). But that bowel prep… That stuff is nothing short of traumatising.
Land before time was an absolute banger growing up too.

Pop! Os has a focus on graphical performance, with versions containing preconfigured AMD/nvidia drivers depending on the users build. To claim that gaming hasn’t factored into the decision to focus on graphics would just be silly.
Doesn’t really feel as though that pedantry has added anything to the conversation if I’m honest, as the question was what would be suitable for gaming, and you yourself also recommend 76?
javiwhite@feddit.ukto linuxmemes@lemmy.world•Love your fellow humans that just want a working computer.English9·20 days agoSystem76 laptops are built for gaming.
They also created their own Linux distro called Pop! Os, which is designed around gaming, and fairly popular within the community. All their laptops come with Pop! os preinstalled
They do have Linux foundation Europe, which has a hq in Brussels. Afaik, all of the Europe OS projects supported by LFE are hosted in Europe also. They also claim to be independent; though I’m not sure if that means from LF entirely. Checking the job boards show roles in California and Germany however; suggesting they are the same entity. (Though I suppose that could just be collaborative?).
The very nature of open source means someone else could just pick it up even if the entirety of LF were wiped out. (There are 5000+ collaborators on the Linux kernel git repo) But the reality is a large portion of those actively working on the kernel, are likely involved in LF in some capacity. Add the fact that LF fund multiple Open source projects, The impact of losing LF would be drastic for the future development of not just Linux, But the FOSS ecosystem as a whole.
This isn’t the only threat to FOSS either; The fact that GitHub is owned by Microsoft is a concern imo.

a quick summarisation is that there are 4 groups:
- Unprocessed or minimally processed foods (berries, nuts etc).
- Processed culinary ingredients (oils, butter, sugars etc).
- Processed foods (cheese, bread. Stuff with 2+ ingredients).
- Ultra-processed food and drink products (preservatives, additives, all the bad -ives).
So I’m guessing a hot dog would be ultra processed due to preservatives and additives often found in the ‘meat’.
That was an interesting rabbit hole to go down. Feels as though what is considered ultra-processed by the experts, is what us laymen tend to refer to as processed foods. I suppose technically their terminology is correct (the best kind of correct ofc), but it just feels like an exaggeration due to everyday usage of the term being what it is.
Edit: formatting.
Chicken: “woah, too soon bro”.
I recommend people start off on either elementary or mint depending on the walled garden they’re used too. It seems to make the transition easier; especially for those who are less interested in tech and see the OS as a means to an end.
Some people just don’t want to learn new ways of working, regardless of how much it benefits them in the long run. My 78 year old grandad being my most recent convert to elementary (after a lifetime of mac OS).
He hasn’t had any issues with the transition thus far. Everything is where he expects it to be, I don’t think he’s even realised libre office is a different application to Microsoft office. Whilst I’m sure he’d have the capability of working out Ubuntu; I also think the effort would be enough to push him back towards Mac.
But yeah, a near 80 year old can use Linux without any training or problems, which I feel really emphasises your original point around Linux stability.

Seems they had some DMCA issues a few years back, but it looks as though the repo is still active.
No idea whether the discord integration stuff still works, nor the details around the DMCA (I assume it’s due to the old name being fosscord) but it’s piqued my interest enough to give it a shot.
Failing that, I’ll probably look toward revolt or a matrix + element setup as they seem to be the main suggestions for discord alternatives.
This is what jack Dorsey and Elon Musk were really referring to.

javiwhite@feddit.ukto memes@lemmy.world•Millennials surviving their 4th 'once in a lifetime' crashEnglish14·1 month ago‘Could’ specifies a possibility of an event occurring, as opposed to no possibility.
For example, I could have rice for dinner, however there is no way I could jump to the moon.
When applied to the context of this conversation:
A person born in the 90s could have had their childhood affected by the recession in the 80s. A person born in the 50s could not have had their childhood affected by the recession in the 80s.
Could is only vague in the scope of probability; this is because it’s a confirmation of the possibility, rather than a defined probability.
javiwhite@feddit.ukto World News@lemmy.world•EU considers tariffs on digital services Big TechEnglish3·2 months agoActing like they can’t do anything without the US?
The continent is prepping for a US & Russian led invasion if anything (none of which are to be purchased from the US either)
EU to tax US digital services in response to trump’s tariffs
EU push for an alternative to US operating systems
Whilst it was true that the EU relied on the US for many things, (the primary being digital services), they’ve proven themselves to be a dangerous partner who has shown active disdain for us, the movement to exile American tech has begun, and will likely end in a similar vein to how Chinese tech is viewed here.
What part of the UK are they called doughballs? ive never heard them called that.
Only reference I can think of is Pizza express’ dough balls, but they’re a savoury dough ball rather than sweet like a doughnut.
One without a hole is a doughnut. One with is a doughnut ring.
I can’t speak for every country, but I know that the UK (where I’m based) is looking at a GDP shrink of around 1%; though given our ‘special relationship’ with the US, and our FAFO era with Brexit, we’re probably more dependant on American trade than your average long distance ally (or should I say former ally?), so I could definitely see other countries breaking even or even profiting from it.
