“Kyle my way through a wall” is my new favorite saying for the next few days. Amazing

Squigglez@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you ever cried over a celebrity or complete strangers death, why?English91·21 days agoChester Bennington of Linkin Park low-key destroyed me. I didn’t even hear about it when it happened due to a big storm taking out my power for a week. It wasn’t until 4 or 5 days after the news hit everyone else when I finally found out.
You can say whatever you want about Linkin Park, but Chester was fucking talented and its still so upsetting to me to think about it.
And then last year, they made Chester die again when they brought on a Scientologist to be the new lead singer. Now Linkin Park as a whole is dead to me.
You’ve either only seen one single anime that so happened to not feature any of that stuff, you’re actually INTO that kind of stuff and don’t want to admit it, or you’re in extreme denial.
“No Game No Life” literally introduces you to its main female character, who I believe is like 11 years old, with a panty shot.
“My Hero Academia” has Momo, who is a high schooler who consistently has to expose herself to use her quirk. (With constant heavy cleavage for her hero suit)
Look, I love anime, and there’s no shame in watching it, but you have to admit that a lot of it is pretty sexualized and moreso with children. (Don’t even get me started on that whole trope of “woman who is a million years old but actually looks like a 4 year old” )

Squigglez@lemm.eeto [Migrated, see pinned post] Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•[Deleted]English2·1 month agoSeems like most people have given their stories so I’ll shy away from mine (mainly because I don’t feel like typing everything out), but I DO want to say that for those of you who feel like this, I strongly recommend some kind of nutritional drink/complete meal shake to keep on hand.
I was using Soylent for a long while, and honestly it is my personal preference, but recently (for like a year now) they have been out of their powder so I’ve been shopping around for alternatives. Huel is okay but is too gritty for me, never seems to smoothen out enough for my liking, no matter how much you mix it.
I just got an order of Plenny Shakes recently and I prefer it over Huel, but it was a bit of a bummer to find out the flavors for Plenny aren’t that strong. They’re very “La Croix” in the flavor area. But they do smoothen out nicely after half a minute shaking.
I still mainly recommend Soylent (they do still have premade shakes,) and a soft recommendation to Plenny Shakes, but hell even Boost Shakes or Slimfast shakes would do.
Mainly try to keep an easy shake meal for when you don’t feel like eating or cooking. It’s not an ultimate answer, but drinking a meal is better than not having one at all.
You know, I was gonna be like “well ackshually” but I just searched it up and you’re absolutely correct. For some reason I thought he was at least like 21 during Dragon Ball, but he started training with Roshi at 13, so he was definitely a kid during the bulk of DB.
A kid? Krillin? Dudes a whole ass adult lol
Pretty sure he’s technically older than Goku
To be fair, I believe he IS the strongest pure human in DBZ cannon, so in some sense he’s OP in fighting. Just not against the show’s usual villains after the OG Dragon Ball lol

Just change the work clothes shirt into a uniform shirt (which is a basic black polo anyways) and that’s about it.
Squigglez@lemm.eeto Music@lemmy.world•Justin Bieber Sold His Music Catalog for $200 Million Because He'd Lost His Entire Fortune, New Documentary ClaimsEnglish51·1 month agoBro don’t go around throwing the term “sociopathic” like that, Jesus. You wanna know what the last 4 letters of 19 spell? Teen. The dude was still a teenager, man. Yeah, he was technically “legal” in the eyes of the law, but he was still young as hell and didn’t know the meaning behind saying shit like that.
Hell, if him saying that makes him a sociopath, what does that make Kanye, or Chris Brown, or Harvey Weinstein?
And God forbid if you ever said anything insensitive and someone finds out about it, because I’m sure you’re not gonna feel too great about someone labeling YOU a sociopath because you called someone the n-word on COD 12 years ago.
Oh man, I had the same thought. I haven’t seen or heard Celldweller mentioned in like a decade. I heard him featured on a random ad slot on Adult Swim one night and picked up the Blackstar album. Listened to that shit through a good portion of high school.
Now this post is gonna send me down a Celldweller binge again lol

Squigglez@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Bad film with amazing premise and mediocre execution that you can't stop thinking about?English2·1 month agoSame! I rewatch DBZ Abridged all the time! Funny enough, never actually watched DBZ or any of Dragon Ball in its entirety, but I’ve played a LOT of the games and basically know the entire story, front to back, from the games and Abridged lol
I would absolutely say Something Witty Entertainment is 100% on par with TFS. They do such a great job taking SAOs original story and making it ACTUALLY make sense, while adding a lot more comedy and sometimes some actually heart breaking moments.
Added bonus, it’s still ongoing! They basically only release one episode a year now, but I think every episode is worth the wait because they put in a lot of effort. They do some other Abridged series as well (like a newer ongoing series of My Hero Academia,) but I believe SAOA is their longest running one right now.
Squigglez@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Bad film with amazing premise and mediocre execution that you can't stop thinking about?English11·1 month agoI HIGHLY recommend the SAO Abridged series. It’s one of the few “parody/satire” projects that actually makes the original story better and most regard SAO Abridged as the better version as a whole.
Got sick for a full week the moment I got back from my New Year’s celebration visit to family, then got sick again a week after I got better from the first time. Then my apartment flooded due to a water heater busting in the apartment above me. Still cleaning up from that. Then I had to quit my job due to a toxic work environment and start a new one with a pay cut, and then the day I go to quit, my grandfather dies (wasn’t close to him but the aftermath was rough.)
And now another family member is on death’s door, so I’ll probably have to go to a second funeral this year.
Needless to say, 2025 hasn’t been my year😮💨
Race You To The Bottom was the first album I listened to from them back then and I think it still holds up. The title track was the first song I had heard from them on the radio and I picked up the album and I binged it through my senior year of high school. They had a more “rebellious, party rocker” vibe with that album, compared to the more “angsty, introspective rocker” vibe they have now.
I’d recommend “Fuck It” and “Die Trying” for their recent stuff. “Rich Kids” from RYTTB is still a personal favorite of mine.
I’ll be honest man, this doesn’t sound like “Low IQ”, it sounds like maybe a mental disorder that you haven’t been able to treat yet (ADHD is the first one to come to mind.)
I say that because I can relate a bit, but I have been formally diagnosed with ADHD. I would maybe look into the symptoms of that and others and you might be surprised to find that you relate to it.
You’re not stupid because you can’t concentrate, just my two cents 🤙
(I would also argue that a “Low IQ” individual wouldn’t necessarily be able to recognize the issues you describe.)
Been listening to New Medicine since like 2014 and they’ve only got so much better since then. Love their stuff
Hell, I feel like that’s even up for debate
