Absolutely - they can be used as evidence before the courts. If the press has already declared someone guilty, a fair trial is no longer possible.

Would a fair trial be possible if they were published?
Damn, I had money on him bouncing up and down on his bed.
Most have a manual mechanism to operate them from the inside. Mine are a bit fancy - theyhave a motor and a remote control.
Maybe this is a weird European thing, but my metal blinds are outside, so yes, they are very effective at reflecting radiated heat away. The triple glazing does a decent job blocking convected heat and last but not least good quality curtains to block any conducted heat that makes it through. It’s never going to be 100%, but I’m confident it’s 100% better than yoghurt!
Maybe my understanding of blinds is wrong, but the ones on my window get pretty close to completely dark. Add a decent curtain (with insulation and blackout) on the inside, and I can keep the flat comfortable passively.
Whatever else you do, close the damn windows and doors during the day, and fling them wide open as soon as its cooler.
Isn’t that just an annual holiday? Don’t you get those in the U.S.?
I want to point out that this is not unique to the U.S. - farming in Europe and the U.K. suffers from the same problem. I suspect that many other countries have the same issue too.
I wonder what the effect of raising wages for farm labourers would be? Surely, it would cause inflation. Does everyone get a pay rise, including the farm labourers, to compensate (inflationary spiral) or will we revert back to norm by excluding them? The truth is - we (yes that includes me!) need to get used to a much simpler lifestyle if we are going to fix this. That will be political suicide though… so here we are with the only compromise that is politically viable.
Not much, though - I’m English, and we worked out it would cost £20k for the various visas. On top of that, you need to pay an NHS premium, even though you would already be paying for it through the usual national insurance deduction from your salary. It will also take 10 years before they are a citizen.
We decided to stay here (Germany). Less costs and, sadly, better health care.
And in 12 months’ time, the voting system will allow just one option. Great move, guys… great move.
The way Democrats run primaries is shameful, no denying it. But the only way to change the dems is to get actively involved, push for RCV, start grass roots, and, yes, vote for the good guy in the primary.
I assume you mean in reference to the general last year? I raged against the way the left brought disaster upon the Palestinians despite their best intentions. This outcome, however, is exactly what I argued the left should be doing: fight FOR the left in primaries, vote AGAINST fascists in the general. You are damn close to sham elections as it is, giving the facisits any opportunity to shut down democracy is self defeating.
Turns out you attended to neither, though.
Also, a lot of people chose to prioritise Palestine over the climate.
Any lawyer would argue that a fair trial is not possible if these pages were published and the press ran multiple articles on the topic. They would be right, too. It’s shitty, but if we want these people to do time, publishing is not the best option.
