  • I like your take on this and while I’m not homeless, I get the notion. Sometimes there’s no easy solution and this is where it gets interesting.

So say I break my leg in half, yes literally, then I get the most invasive surgery possible, bob the builder came to town and hammered in a big metal rod. The doctors are restricted from prescribing opioids, at least I had enough for pt to get my flexibly back. So I try a few thing and they don’t work. I’m In pain all the time everyday–still am. They say more physical therapy? lol for what? A foreign object in my body? It’s fused with my body so it’s basically amputation with the chance of still having phantom pain. So I became a drinker. I’ve got enough pain that I can function after drinking half a bottle. So I emphasize with people that likely got into a similar issue. I think the worst thing is people don’t believe you. Like here’s the xrays, they’re fun to look at; and well trying to fight off death on a cold metal slab when everyone you know is thousands of miles away. I’m pretty sure I died that day in the surgery.

  • I posted this a lot on reddesies. It was unpopular; lots of em down votes.

The issue is that voting has become insanely complicated.

I’m sorry, not everyone has time to research 30ish candidates in the primary and then read all the articles or amendments or local and state changes or whatever and let alone comprehend the implications. I’m not even in my forties and this is too much for me. Elderly people are basically being taken advantage of, I don’t have disdain towards them. They probably shouldn’t vote since they’re on the cusp of their EOL cycle and have no idea what they vote for.

  • Had a roommate who was vegan and I tried it out as well (they don’t shut up sometimes). At that point I learned that maybe I should just think things through myself when he told me wifi is bad and you can only use Ethernet cables. My friend, who has a doctorates in electrical engineering, and I had a lot of laughs; surprise the cables emit the same harmless radiation. It was fun when I got ratted out by my ex then for just running wifi without broadcasting for her dumbass to use the internet when I was at work. Haha punny right.

And the honey thing is such a hilarious argument. Like do you want plants to grow? Also watch the third Ghost in the Shell movie, where yeah crops get destroyed. But hey, we already are getting to experience that now, as in what’s the next recall?

  • To be honest, Aldi has always been kinda shit.

I might get down voted a lot but that’s my opinion. I grew up on shopping at Aldi. Half the time the frozen section seems like overstock other from local stores. Then the pricing, sometimes its alright and other times its cheaper to go to the grocery store with a 50% off sale (bogo) for the same crap.

Why does their brand of saltines have TBHQ? tert-Butylhydroquinone. A lot of stuff has BHA and BHT. Why does the name brand not have that? Some of those compounds harshly interact with certain medicines and well pot lol. So it’s really no different than anything else around except fancier stores, even then.

  • I can agree, my pay is worth half of what it was 6 years ago and I can’t keep increasing my rates anymore. I don’t even want to do what I do anymore. And the only nearby clowns that run a similar repair business are surprised that nobody wants to work for $25 an hour. I charged $100 hr + $150 hr just to go there and that worked fine but everyone always has complaints. Well I need to spend $90 on the screwdriver that broke so you want me to work for free. Now it’s fuck all. Parts and tools are more expensive. For a house project, bought a saw for $45 last year, and well being lazy, returned it for 80 store credit last month.

It’s like a pincer on shit pay and high cost.
