I’ve never understood this about some people. If you want to be together, why don’t you suggest to do things others like - not just stuff you like?

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Multiple CalDAV calendars synced to email aliases for a single email account?
2·6 days agoThanks, that was good to learn
HR is not your friend. Do not go complain to HR. It will almost always bite you in the ass. They are there to protect the upper management and don’t give a fuck about doing the right thing

2·7 days agoI don’t have a problem, I’m just trying to make sure the functionality is possible and normal before spending time working on it. I couldn’t find anything searching around so I thought the people here might’ve done it before
Aren’t passive homes objectively the best option? Not a claim (I don’t know shit about this)

Political Memes@lemmy.world•Daily reminder that ALL atrocities are bad. Yes, even of your favorite polity
7·13 days agoIsn’t that exactly the point of the person on the top right? They’re defending against the “Communism bad” stance, by trying to communicate that it isn’t exactly a fair stance when talking about atrocities as it’s always powerful, authoritarian nutcases doing them. It’s not like it’s part of the communist agenda to be fucking horrible.

I stopped about 5 years ago. I have depressive tendencies and drinking heightens the negative emotions much more than the positive ones (for me, at least). It wouldn’t take much to send me spiralling for the night.
Also, to your point - I couldn’t do math well for like a week after drinking, and I need to for my work.

I feel like this is much more to do with how much space working has taken in our lives that used to be for things like hobbies and child rearing. We are now squeezed on all sides
