  • It takes days to erect a wind turbine. It takes more than a decade for anyone outside China to get power out of a reactor.

Wind turbine waste is a problem, the blades are fibreglass. They take up a fair bit of space and they’re hard to use for order stuff

Nuclear plants produce radioactive waste throughout their lives and then are themselves radioactive waste when they go out of service

Wind turbines are not a terrorism target unlike nuclear plants

And every analysis I have read says nuclear is far more expensive than renewables

    (I didn’t down vote you)

  • Your body uses macronutrients in an order that I presume is most to least dangerous

    1st: alcohol

    2nd: sugars/carbohydrates

    3rd: fat

    Hardly at all: protein

The fat problem comes from eating a high fat, high carb diet, where the carbohydrate load prevents use of the fats.

Fats are carried around your body in low density lipoprotein (LDL cholesterol). When the fat is used it’s fine the LDL is regularly emptied, renewed, refilled. When fat usage is suppressed by carbohydrates the LDL is never emptied, never renewed, never refilled. The LDL fails and breaks into small fragmentary LDL. The SDLDL is the stuff that fucks you up

Beware the word moot has opposite meanings to people from the US and UK.

US takes it as something that can be ignored like it’s from practice in a moot court (or mock trial)

UK takes it from the meeting type (a moot) and the word means something that should be discussed

Australia mostly follows US usage in this
