Americans fit in well in Australia so long as they’re friendly and check their ego at the door. Australian culture is a big moosh of many cultures but tends to cringe at American culture. You kind of have to be more about yourself rather than be all about being an American, then you will fit in.
But what society-created roles and stereotypes will I conform my entire being to now? I don’t know how to be me and need to be told options.

I have three American friends that moved to Australia. Two specifically to raise families better.

Attractive? Who cares about attractive? The sheer comfort alone is a way higher selling point. Most people don’t dress to be attractive, they’re secure enough to just look sensible and be comfortable.
You listen to society? They’re the ones that invented gender characteristics and stereotypes. If you listen to them there’s a chance you’ll get caught up in their bullshit instead of just being what you’d be if there was no other human on earth.
That’s odd. I always see it the other way around and men don’t speak up for themselves because the loud woman then tries to play this card, so everyone just has to take the abuse.

That’s not really true. Going to specific places for specific things is very different to putting one’s head in the sand. If you make such assumptions about your opposing tribes you’ll continue to increase social division, and that’s the core of this mess.
