Keeping things simple.
This isn’t the first 3D game they made though. They made Solar Ash before this, and it’s honestly quite underrated.
That entire sentence sounds like a title of a visual novel
Not to mention Lipton Ice Tea is rubbish. You can make your own for 1/10th of the price, and it’ll taste 10x better.
If we’re counting 100%ing, then yeah, Godhome can suck it. Path of pain alone was pushing me to the edge.
The same devs went on to make Vintage Story and finding copper there can also be a real pain. It’s kind of wild to hear their Minecraft mod having the same issue.
I actually had a similar experience with Hollow Knight where I had to stop playing for a while and when I picked it back up I forgot where I was and where I’m going, so I had to start all over. It was really worth it imo, because the end sections of the game are insanely cool. But I can understand not wanting to repeat ~10-20 hours again.
Whew, I was getting worried we were one day into 2024 and nobody said this yet.
I’m really going to miss his videos, but I’m glad he’s ending it on a happy note rather than dragging things on when he doesn’t want to. Godspeed, Tom.
I’m not going to say using a different distro will fix all your problems but yeah, your experience is not normal. A lot of this is because Ubuntu is not highly recommended. It’s just popular, but there are a bunch of terrible decisions it makes that barely anybody recommends it.
Of course Ubuntu just threw out the old installer for debian files, and didn’t replace it yet. Wouldn’t want a user to just be able to easily install files!
Checks out. Ubuntu is also one of the only modern distros that doesn’t come with Flatpak, which is a massive store of applications that’s quite easy to use and has a huge store of applications.
May I recommend something like PopOS instead? It’s based on Ubuntu so everything from there will work on it, including .deb files. It’s basically Ubuntu but with way, WAY saner defaults and a better beginner experience. I think your experience will be a lot better on a nicer distro.
Posts like this are so reassuring because it means mods are doing their jobs well :)
It would be kind of ironic to have an isitdown community on Lemmy itself. If an instance it down nobody from there would be able to post, and if the instance the community is made on is down then then none of the posts would federate
Why would he sell the music rights to a publisher? He of all people should know to stay indie.
It’s platinum in comparison to all games released in 2023 (new releases)
I know reading is hard but you realize this quote was reason #5 of the many reasons listed… I’m not going to copy-paste the article, it’s all relevant info.
Whew, I actually had this installed but haven’t played in a few weeks.
Honestly you should just stick to Fedora.
Why?
Seems like a cool project, but with such weak specs what can one actually do with this?
Dall-E 3 is the easiest to use and usually understand prompts the best. You can use it for free via Bing Image Editor.
May I recommend No-one has to die? It’s a bite-sized webgame that I thought was really good, you can finish it in under an hour.
Also if you’re going to play steins;gate I would recommend skipping the sequel (steins;gate 0). It’s not good.
Unless they rework half the game’s mechanics from the ground up, I doubt it.
