Magic, by definition, has to be supernatural. Otherwise it’s just physics. What we call magic is just things we haven’t figured out in enough detail to explain. Or things we’ve made up and aren’t real. The latter is the supernatural bit.

If your definition of “god” is something you revere, then sure, go have some gods. Have a bunch. It’s great to value things like knowledge and thought and kindness.

If your definition of god includes some supernatural power, then I’ll need some evidence.

That sounds like a filter problem. Yes, politics slips through, but if you flag keywords it becomes quite manageable.

Not because it’s smart or will figure it out on its own. It’s just a lot better at aggregating completely disparate pieces of information. A scientist researching in one field doesn’t hold the the whole body of knowledge of other fields. So it takes time to piece the bits together.

This is why discoveries are often made near simultaneously in different parts of the globe by different people. Just enough information gathered in just the right locations seen by people with the appropriate amount of knowledge.

With AI, that last bit gets faster and it will get the credit.

I haven’t noticed a problem. Still plenty of content and people. Good discussions.
