  • This is what I assumed, but if it helps in any other way, I’m happy to wishlist more games from small time developers.

I use likes and subs liberally on apps like YouTube or TikTok, even if I wouldn’t normally want to subscribe. It costs me nothing to do and gives someone else joy. Why wouldn’t I?

Eh, it messes up my algorithm but I don’t care. These Corporations know too much about me anyway, might as well give them a curveball.

  • I see a lot of commenters really hate Apple, but to clarify, the manual isn’t what’s important here.

According the article, the manuals indicate that the iPhone 16 is actually easier to repair. This is good news for consumers, independent repair shops, and the environment.

You can use a 9-volt battery to remove adhesive and they’ve added more support for Face-ID when replacing the LIDAR sensor.

We still have a long way to go for our right to repair but, the pressure that we put on companies and governments to make change is working. We should celebrate that.

  • My dog is the same. We get these fake sticks. They are made out of wood but they don’t splinter and they aren’t as hard as Nylon toys. The pet store sells them in various brands.

I’ve also had good luck with some extra durable fabric toys but I still have to watch him. I don’t mind if he shreds them, as long as he doesn’t eat them. The key with those is the shape of the toy. It can’t have ears or small bits dangling off the side. He chews those right off then pulls the stuffing out.

  • I laughed at your reply, upvoted, and started to scroll when I remembered my TV has a “screen off” feature. I use it at bedtime to listen to futurama without the light making my sleep bad.

At some point the show stops playing and goes to a menu. You actually wouldn’t know the TV is on if it wasn’t for the light. 😑

This is exactly what my neighbor stopped me to tell me recently. About bringing in immigrants to vote and what not. I tried to tell him none of that information is true and show him where and why, but it’s really hard to do without making them dig further into their position.

Anne they are now conditioned believe that any media that doesn’t align with them is fake.

  • A few years ago I chose to stop thinking about it. I just refill the roll and don’t worry about it. When I realized it didn’t matter, it was a weight lifted off my shoulders. Same with trying to stop the gas pump on the nearest dollar or setting the tv volume to an even number.

I don’t know why I felt such a relief when I let go, but I did and now I’m free!

  • This is a method I heard once for remembering random passwords that I thought was clever.

Create your own alphabet of words (or random characters). A is for Apple, B is for Boy, C is for Cat…etc.

For every letter in the URL, you use the word from your alphabet. Ex:

    www.facebook.com

    F = Fog, A = Apple, C = Cat, E = Egg, B = Boy, O = Off, O = Off, K = Kite

Next, you need a number if you didn’t use one in your alphabet.

Facebook is 8 letters long so I might use 8. Or only letters repeated once. Or maybe you use the whole URL. Up to you, but you do it the same way for every site. You create a patter that you follow and can remember, rather than remembering every password.

Need a symbol? Assign that to the top level domain. In my example, .com = # .edu = ? .org = * etc

Put it all together and my example password would be “8FogAppleCatEggBoyOffOffKite#”.

    A password for google.com might be ‘6GolfOffOffGolfLogEgg#’.

Obviously, you don’t have to do it this exact way with the alphabet, number, and symbol. The idea is that you create a set of rules that you remember and follow. If you write down “A = Apple B = Boy…” and someone finds it, it won’t be instantly obvious that it is meant for passwords.
