While this is a good road bike, the real time trial monsters are the faired recumbent bikes. I personally would prefer a faired recumbent over a car. It keeps you dry, you go to work in a reasonable time due to the speed, and you work out.
Recumbents are a great way to extent the distance you can commute with a bike without requiring electric support.
They are however less common, and thus car drivers dont always take them into account. So be careful when crossing roads.

Its a mass produced bearing type. Most likely the cheapest option for both devices. Optimizing a bearing for a gerbil wheel seems like the real overengineering in my opinion.
