So I’m logged into an acct here on y’all with the same user name.
It’s weird it seemed to take some time to let me log in. After I created an acct here, i wasn’t able to log in and just got an endless spinning icon. My previous comment was logged in from bayport@lemmy.villa-straylight.social
I’m wondering suspecting that having the exact username on various instances will cause me some problems or confusion in future 🙃
Yeah…the software currently has a lot of rough edges. Looking at the git repo, it looks like with all the new attention, things are getting patched up quickly.
One reason for the spinning icon is that comms b/w your brower and the server are currently handled through websockets, which is a bit of a clunky way of doing things with the negative side effects you are experiencing. The dev is fixing that in the next version, which should be released imminently. In the meantime, a refresh of the browser page usually fixes stuff.
Welcome, /u/bayport! (At least I think this uses /u/ …not sure yet!)

Test post to see if I can view this on Mastodon
Ok, I boosted this on Mastodon. But is there a way to follow a conversation?
On Mastodon, yes - if you search for “announce@yall.theatl.social”, you should be able to follow, for example
undefined> announce@yall.theatl.social
Got it. Nice.
