      There are plenty of reasons to hate her but she was the longest serving UK PM ever. She couldn’t have been that hated if they kept re-electing her

        People vote against their interests all the time. And it screws everyone over.

        The “greed is good” bullshit hoodwinked a lot of people.

          They vote against their interests but not against their emotions. People hate her now, for good reason. The people voting for her then, clearly didn’t hate her.

        I don’t know how UK elections for prime minister work, but experience and history have shown me that people can be fucking stupid and elect the worst option available, no matter the country.

          Agreed. They don’t necessarily vote for the better candidate, they vote for their favorite candidate.

            Also, due to the power of wealth and mass media ownership, the most famous candidates (and therefore the only ones with a realistic chance of election) are consistently garbage.
