Images: Johns Creek’s sweet downtown trail system, boardwalk arrivesJosh GreenFri, 04/24/2026 - 16:21Like north OTP brethren Alpharetta and Suwanee before it, Johns Creek is adding a sweeping multi-use trail as part of a growing slate of centralized attractions designed to help establish identity. As city officials relayed this week, the new elevated trail weaves for nearly a mile along a creek and through woods before linking with The Boardwalk at Town Center, a key feature of the Fulton County city’s planned 20-acre city center.   The trail also links with the large-scale (and growing) Medley development, which is scheduled to deliver its first mixed-use phase in October. A connection to the city’s existing Johns Creek Greenway is also coming. altThe mile-long trail as it heads north toward The Boardwalk at Town Center and the under-construction Medley development. City of Johns CreekThe trail spans from the Medlock Bridge Pedestrian Crossing and Tunnel project (on pace to open this summer) north to East Johns Crossing. The new Boardwalk at Town Center, meanwhile, features a 15-foot-wide elevated trail, bandshell and amphitheater, pond overlooks, pedestrian plazas, and terraced seating at the doorstep of Johns Creek City Hall. altThe boundaries of 20-acre Johns Creek Town Center. City of Johns CreekAll of the above is now open, but a grand opening is planned at Johns Creek’s first summer concert of the season the evening of May 8, where Chicago-based tribute show Boy Band Review is scheduled to perform smash hits by the likes of Jonas Brothers, Backstreet Boys, and New Kids on the Block. (Oh oh oh oooooh-oh, oh oh, oh ohhhh.) In the gallery above, find a closer look and quick tour of the new northern-suburbs amenity. **…**Follow us on social media:Twitter / Facebook/and now: Instagram  • Johns Creek news, discussion (Urbanize Atlanta)Tags11360 Lakefield DriveJohns Creek GreenwayThe Boardwalk Town CenterBridge Pedestrian Crossing & TunnelEast Johns CrossingBoy Band ReviewMedleyToro Development CompanyOTPAtlanta SuburbsAtlanta DevelopmentAtlanta ConstructionJohns Creek NewsJohns Creek DevelopmentJohns Creek ConstructionDowntown Johns CreekAtlanta Suburban DevelopmentNorth Atlanta SuburbsAtlanta TrailsJohns Creek TrailsNorth OTPImagesaltThe mile-long trail as it heads north toward The Boardwalk at Town Center and the under-construction Medley development.
