The attraction was initially opened a decade ago by Slater Hospitality 10 stories above the street, with a number of classic boardwalk games and rides.  The Jamestown-owned property enlisted noted golf course architect Bobby Cupp—known for work on legendary Atlanta courses such as Bobby Jones Golf Course and Druid Hills Golf Club—to overhaul the previous rooftop putt-putt experience. The new course brings “a more dynamic, elevated style of play with enhanced contours, new challenges, and a modern aesthetic inspired by today’s most engaging golf experiences,” per today’s announcement. altPhoto courtesy of Slater Hospitality, via PCMaltOverview of the new 18-hole miniature golf course in O4W. That culminates with a nightly laser light show at 9:15 p.m. paired with energetic music and projected onto the building’s iconic tower.  Beyond the roller-skating and mini-golf renovation, changes to The Roof also now include “choose your experience” ticketing options, per officials. That allows guests general admission access to rides, boardwalk games, and SK8 The Roof for $15 (adults) or $7 (kids 12 and under). Adding mini golf to the experience costs $12 (adults) or $7 (kids 12 and under). Kids under age three are free, and The Roof is now open to all ages, all the time, though anyone under 18 must be with an adult. altPhoto courtesy of Slater Hospitality, via PCMaltPhoto courtesy of Slater Hospitality, via PCMAlso new this season is a weekday happy hour called Tee Time (Monday through Friday, 3 to 5 p.m.) That features half-price mini golf and three-dollar Lucky One Lemonade or Tea. Beyond gaming, The Roof features elevated (literally) American dining restaurant 9 Mile Station, 12 Cocktail Bar, a gaming parlor and bar across several levels, and private events space RFD Social. “We’ve always believed The Roof should feel like a place you can come back to again and again,” said Mandy Slater, Slater Hospitality owner, in the announcement. “Not every visit looks the same, and now it doesn’t have to with our new flexible tickets.”altSK8 the Roof atop Ponce City Market today.
