Images: Downtown project aims to continue Gwinnett city’s growth Josh GreenTue, 07/14/2026 - 15:06A uniquely traditional, village-style housing project is plowing ahead that aims to continue investment and growth around the historic core of Gwinnett County’s seat.Buford-based homebuilder Kittle Homes is fully under construction on a 63-home project with vintage aesthetics called Grove Park Village near downtown Lawrenceville, where recent developments have included a boutique hotel, a new performing arts center, public greenspaces, and hundreds of new apartments and townhomes. The new single-family homes—anything but spartan, modern-style boxes—will rise at 534 W. Crogan St., across the street from Central Gwinnett High School. Google MapsDesigns at Grove Park Village—as compiled by celebrated architect Stephen Fuller, an Atlanta-based Georgia Tech grad—aim for Southern timelessness, with an emphasis on porches, columns, brick, and neighborly walkability around the community. Prices at the village will start in the $700,000s when sales open next spring, according to project reps. All floorplans will be two stories, with sizes ranging from 2,600 to more than 4,000 square feet, with three or four bedrooms and bathrooms. Elevators will be optional. Some options will include basement levels for finishing out media rooms, home gyms, offices, or flex areas.
