it’s hard to know what to make of sachs sometimes.
on one hand, he warns of things that end up coming true and on the other hand he committed some of those acts.
Realists are a type of right-winger who have some capability of engaging with the material facts, at least in the military and economic spheres. Even though their interest in the truth halts well-short of making them anti-capitalists, their rhetoric still annoys the true believers in classical economics and militarist triumphalism, and poses the hazard of providing just enough clarity that proletarian listeners who don’t share their class interests may connect the rest of the dots. Realists are therefore increasingly left to analyze from the sidelines as capitalism sinks into its late stage, even though they have the potential to be the most competent imperial managers. They can be seductive to right-wing socialists, who may fail to recognize when the Realist’s ideology diverges from Marxism.
i think that this describes the ACP nicely and i wonder if it also describes others like piker, or platner, or al sayed.
The difference is that the Realists neither consider themselves socialists nor pose as them. They are explicitly anticommunists; but they can be wily and clear-eyed enough to mingle with the compatible left for their own purposes.
It takes one to know one I guess…
yeah, that’s what it’s hard to know what to make of him.
never paid much attention to him but he seems to hit the nails in this case.
