[a video on Peertube about Cuba from the news collective Belly Of The Beast]

U.S. Rep. Carlos Giménez (R-FL) says Cuba’s healthcare system “sucks” and “doesn’t work,” pointing to hospitals without medicine and deteriorating conditions.

But this criticism leaves out a major part of the story: the policies Giménez has championed are the reason why Cuba’s hospitals are collapsing. U.S. economic warfare has restricted Cuba’s ability to obtain medicines, medical equipment, fuel and other resources needed to keep its healthcare system running.

Universal healthcare is a FAILURE (in the country we have been embargoing for 75 years, and actually their healthcare outcomes are SHOCKINGLY comparable to the USA despite this)

(universal healthcare everywhere we are not currently embargoing is delivering far better results at a fraction of the cost in the USA)
