    There needs to be a requirement like, cap it at what can be obtained in a year or two.

    Companies put the upper range for someone that’s been in that position for decades making the whole range useless

      At least here in Washington, the mid point is generally a good area to shoot for. Few companies give a ridiculous range because they can be reported to the state.

      Regardless, I still like that it is required to be posted here. Although I recall interviewing at one company that used the fact that they advertised their salary range as proof of how open they are to progress. Congratulations to them for not wanting to be fined. 🙄
