I mean, alongside the systemic oppression they will face. But also, I’m both afraid I’ll make this joke and regret it. And also afraid I’ll pass on the chance to make this joke and regret it. It would also greatly diffuse the situation and cooly tell your kid that you’re fine with it and still love them, and that nothing will change between you two.
