I think this touches on what may have been the deciding factor and why Trump won’t replace him - he needs the money. Win or lose, Trump has been bleeding cash for a while now and I suspect can’t raise more cash from what’s worked in the past. Enter Thiel with his wind-up Conserva-tron 2000 and bags of money. Even without Biden dropping out, Vance only ever meant more money in Trump’s coffers and whenever questioning Trump’s motivations, greed should always be the first guess.
