minus-squareNauticalNoodle@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up1·edit-219 days agoNot to try to bring you down or anything but I just wanted to take the opportunity to point out that the (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Popular_Vote_Interstate_Compact)[National Popular Vote Intertate Compact] has even more traction than RCV right now even though fewer people have heard of it than (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranked-choice_voting_in_the_United_States) [Ranked Choice Voting] where some of the most corrupt states (excluding Texas) have gone full mask-off and passed legislation to ban RCV proposals. -It won’t solve the issues raised with fptp but it will certainly go a long way to making the u.s. more Democratic… before subsequently getting overturned by the supreme court.
