Donald Trump supporters in Savannah falsely claim he was denied use of larger arena

Presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign event as a 2,500-seat venue in Savannah has fueled false claims from his supporters that he was forced to use the small venue.

Supporters of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump claim that Democratic-leaning Savannah officials, such as Mayor Van Johnson, forced the former president to hold his campaign event Tuesday at the city-owned Johnny Mercer Theatre. They say he was denied use of the larger Enmarket Arena where his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, held a rally last month. The company that manages both facilities say that isn’t true.
