There are about a million times as many non billionaires as billionaires though. Yes, we need to get rid of billionaires, but please do what you can for the environment as well. If you’re on lemmy, chances are you’re in a country that pollutes more than the world average (as I am), so we especially should try to live more sustainably as well.

Well, we should still be somewhat ecologically responsible for moral reasons. But the real impact is dismantling the billionaires and influencing policies.
The “it’s someone else’s problem” attitude is how we ended up here in the first place.

If it’s mostly jets and boats, what happens to climate goals if those were suddenly regulated? Or even outlawed? You know, for the sake of the world?
