Berry College President Steve Briggs (left) congratulates Anaiah Rucker during the 2023 commencement ceremony. Rucker was 10 when she saved her sister from an oncoming truck, suffering serious injuries, including losing a leg. Rucker received national attention after ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” documented her story. After hearing Rucker’s story, Berry College offered her a full scholarship.
