Ravens running back Derrick Henry was as shocked as anyone by Thursday night’s announcement of the 2024 NFL MVP.
I think Derrick Henry is part of the reason Jackson didn’t win. Allen didn’t have an elite back that ran for nearly 2,000 yards behind him like Lamar Jackson did, Allen had to do more himself, and that may have tipped the scales.
Yeah it was obvious. I didn’t think the voting should’ve been as close really.

I thought Saquon Barkley should have at least gotten 1 first place vote considering he’s in the Super Bowl and Jackson and Allen aren’t.
You can only be the most valuable player that doesn’t win in the post season so many times before people move on.
For some reason, the NFL only counted votes for Lamar as three fifths of the votes for Allen.
