If you look at all the qbs signed in 2024 though the top was about 55-60m/yr. Of those signed recently only a few have gotten to the Superbowl. Jackson and Allen signed in 2022 and they look like a discount now due to the way contacts are trending. That’s just the going market rate for a good QB now.
I’d much prefer Purdy over Tua, Lawrence, Murray or Prescott.

My brother in Christ, he finished 6-11 in the bottom of the NFC West and wants 60 million?
Lol 😂 That’s crazy talk.
Trevor Lawrence was 2-8 in 10 games with a rating of 85.2 and he is being paid 55m.
Purdy played 15 games and had a rating of 96.
Do I think it’s high, yes. Is it the market rate for QBs, yes unfortunately.
Citing a poorly made deal isn’t a good argument for making another bad deal.
All I’m saying is that’s the market rate for QBs right now. If the 49ers don’t pay it he will get it somewhere else.
I would be surprised as he’s just not that good.
