Sure they are Trump. Sure they are.

I’m sure there’s a lot of squawking from the ambassadors from Heard Island and McDonald Islands but that would be about it.

I said recently that this wasn’t the real crash…

    https://lemmy.world/post/27872765/16284527

This ain’t even the big crash yet.

That happens when Trump finally caves and removes his tarrifs, and everyone else just shrugs and leaves theirs on.

It’s obvious as fuck, but so was what happened last week. We’ll see a small bounce as he announces his are being removed, then shit gets real

    We’re halfway there.

I just don’t understand why it’s not obvious to everyone…

yeah, in almost a textbook fashion by announcing massive global economy changing economic policies on such a whim that your most senior staff that manages those things are in the dark as much as random U.S. citizens on twitter are, and then in the end retracting the tariffs on an equally bullshit whim is actually the worst case scenario for global confidence in the U.S. economy.

This is the worst case scenario where it doesn’t even work out for the 1% of the U.S. because they refuse to understand that once the rest of the world loses basic confidence in you, you don’t get that back by just saying “it was a prank bro”. This isn’t like the covid crash of the market, nor really even the 2008 financial crash which was the culminating offensive of a class war against the 99% by the 1%, this is a permanent reduction in trust, investment and willingness to work with U.S. entities on ANYTHING from LITERALLY THE ENTIRE REST OF THE WORLD.

Brexit was a massive self own for the U.K. but this is stunning especially since the U.S. is simultaneously directly facilitating, paying for, and supplying the arms and polictical backing to Genocide Palestinians on the other side of the world. Destroying my generations future isn’t enough for the ruling class of the U.S., they also have to commit Genocide too in order to feel like they are accomplishing something I guess?

People in the U.S., especially “business” minded centrists really don’t understand that this is a cataclysmic one way movement for the status of the U.S. and the quality of life of the people within it.

In the short term people will definitely profit off the pump and dump, but this is like stealing money out of the cash register on the titanic as it is sinking… like good for you I guess?

Try posting a comment telling them that waving signs isn’t going to work. Anything that makes it obvious is being removed. Lemmy is just as compromised as reddit.
