Honestly I don’t blame them - I’d be embarrassed about people finding out my community was on .ml too.
BPR & YDI. It’s perfectly reasonable to disklike .ml’s moderation practices, but you effectively went into their community just to troll them about it. What did you expect to happen? 7 days seems reasonable to me, and it’s only a community ban.

I mean, I get it, ml really does take that extra attention because if the community is there, or a user is from there, chances are that you’re going to run into zealotry eventually.
But when you make the effort to poke at the scab, it’s not really on them when they poke back.
Truth is, of wouldn’t even need to be .ml, if you did something similar anywhere, a temp ban is legit. Shit stirring can only be tolerated so much, so you have to make it clear that is isn’t going to work out the way the stirrers want, otherwise it snowballs

Yes this is very low-hanging fruit at this point. Effectively you’re attacking their whole instance in their own spaces, so this is BPR. Personally I don’t agree with banning people because they criticize your instance, unless it becomes harassment, but I can see why the .ml mods are fed up with it. There’s like a dozen of threads about bans like this every week on !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works
